250 Years of Biblical Principles

On July 4, 2026, the United States will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence — a historic milestone marking two and a half centuries of American freedom, perseverance, and self-government. This anniversary offers an opportunity for reflection on the extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and biblical vision of the men and women who helped shape our nation. It is a time to honor the generations of Americans who preserved and defended the liberties established at our founding, while also looking ahead to the future we hope to build for the next generation.

The Fourth of July serves not only as a celebration of independence, but as a reminder of the enduring principles upon which America was founded: faith, liberty, justice, individual rights, and the belief that government exists to serve the people. The Fourth of July marks more than the birth of a nation; it marks the declaration of enduring principles that shaped the United States from its beginning.

America’s Founding Fathers believed that human rights did not come from government, but from God, and that liberty required both virtue and responsibility. Men such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin risked their lives, fortunes, and reputations to establish a republic founded on individual freedom, self-government, justice, and the rule of law. The Declaration of Independence affirmed that all men are created equal and are endowed with unalienable rights including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Every Fourth of July, Americans remember the courage and sacrifice required to secure those freedoms. It is a day of gratitude for the generations who defended the nation and a reminder that preserving liberty requires wisdom, faith, unity, and a continued commitment to the principles upon which America was founded.
